Remembering track points?

Is it possible to get an add-on to keep a track of where you have been?

I used to love my old Garmin V. It would remember up to 2000 points which you could download to your PC and show them on a map to see where you had been and you could work our how fast you were going.

There is plenty of free space on the TTG 700's hard drive, but is that something that could be done, if it hasn't already?
