Hi,

Using a Dell Axim X30 with my Holux CR-100 and TomTom Nav 5.1 everything had been working OK, but now TTN says 'No GPS Device'. The CR-100 has power, its aerial lighti is flashing. I tried reselecting the communication channel in TTN (NMEA, COM3, 4800 baud) and actually tried a few settings but it made no difference. Confused

So I'm looking for some pointers on diagnosing the issue. I have considered a hard reset (not done one before), or uninstalling/reinstalling TTN, installing a different nav software e.g. mapopolis. At the moment I don't know if the issue is GPS, PDA hardware, PDA software or TTN, any guidance will be appreciated.

TIA

Thanks for the reply. To rule out TTN I downloaded a freeware app called VisualGPSce which shows the current GPS position, signals etc. I tried that and it worked, and then I went into TTN and changed the comms settings to COM1 like you said and that worked too Smile

I am confused about why it stopped working though, I tried it a few times and it didn't work before I even changed the comms config.

Oh well, at least now I have another app to check things with if it goes wrong in future. Thanks for your help.

I am experiencing similar problems while using my Dell Axim3 with the TomTom5 navigational software. I have tried the setting for long periods, I have varied the settings. It keeps showing the "no GPS device". I went further to try a different navigational software (Navigon). I am wondering whether there is a conflict with the DELL and the holux system.
