ScaredyCats Apps Re: Quick Add Camera

I recently installed Scaredcats Apps v5.202 plus apps on my 300. but have being quite a lot of bother and have decided to just use the Quick Add Camera and remove the rest.

My problem is that Quick Add is on page 4 and I want it on page 1.
I managed to get it to move to page 1 but when I go back to page 4 I now have 4 Quick Add cams. what on earth is going on.

Did you delete the unused apps themselves from the catapps folder?

Did you remove the Task_SDKx lines from Page 4 of the .mnu file?

I have sent MMU as requested.

By the way which are you using v5.201 or v5.202, on here you show 5.202 but on mytomtom forum you show 5.201

Hello Jimbokb,

You seem to be having no end of problems with this.

There is nothing wrong with your tomtom.mnu file so leave as is until you have a working system. Then you can move stuff around to your heart's content.

Make sure you have created an SdkRegistry folder in your 300s root and that tomtom.mnu is placed in it (Note: Linux is case sensitive). There should also be quickam.bmp and quickam.cap in the SdkRegistry folder.

You should also have the folder catapps in root and quickam should be in there.

Another thought:

I notice that you keep mentioning MMU when referring to the TomTom menu file.

This file is called tomtom.MNU (my upper case for emphasis - It should be lower case).

If you have been calling it MMU the TomTom won't read it and will default to its normal inbuilt menu but will add any SDKs to the end of the menu giving you what you are seeing.

I had a bit of trouble with this program got it working now it is a very good. I have already sent my camera i spotted to pocketgpsworld so i have been told it was later for this months but will be in next Laughing

Have a look in the file you downloaded 5.202 and see if there is a data.chk in there.AND look in your sd root file and see if you got another one in there,sounds like the same thing i done Embarassed

I had renamed the file MMU instaed of MNU which I have now changed, however I still have the problem with the phone icon which I am sure is something to do with the new MNU file.

Why is the incorect phone icon showing.

Many thanks to Privateer I just added the command at the end of the MNU file and I have the Connect To Phone option again and the other grayed out one has gone.

Its been a long hard slog but worth it in the end.

Many thanks to Andy who really spent a lot of time on helping me out and of course Privateer who got the bit that was bugging me.
