300 startup troubles...

Been happily using my 300 until... last night!

Switched on and it went through the "first time" setup things where you select the language, right handed, miles, set clock etc etc.... All okay until you select a voice. When you click "Select" the unit just hangs and then resets itself going through all the above again...

Tried pressing reset a few times - no good...

I also have a US card - didn't start properly either so it's not the card.

So, I formatted the card, re-installed from backup and updated to 5.201 - no problem...

Still didn't work...

My question is how do you give this unit a proper reset? The reset button doesn't do it, and neither does formatting the card. I say this because when the unit first turns on and displays the languages, in the top right it says "Writing route instructions"...50%...68%...89%

So it's holding a route somewhere - shouldn't reset RESET?

I'm just waiting for the battery to die now and see if that does a real reset...
