BT-338 with Dell Axim TT5

What a great little GPS reciever, if only I could get it working with TomTom5;
I can use the supplied GPS test s/w to connect to the Bt-338 with no problem. I connect with the bluetooth manager to the BT-338, then I select the VTG box to output this info for use with navigation s/w as instructed to do so in the manual.
My dell tells me that the outbound Bluetooth port is seven, so I configure the TT5 to select 'other GPS', Bluetooth serial port 7'.
....and that's where I'm stuck, I see nothing, so GPS device detected.

I believe your supposed to exit the test suite s/w?
Should I pair the BT-338?

Please, any suggestions?
In the forum, nobody appears to have had the same issue, so I must be doing something wrong.

OK, so I have now removed and re-installed TomTom5 to see if this would help as I used to use it with a combined GPS mount, still no change.
I have tried it with and without pairing the device.
Again, through all of this the GPSinfo works fine, I just can't get TomTom5 to see my device?

Please help/suggestions.
