I have to agree that the TTM5 is probably the best out of them all.
I do have to say though that Wayfinder is very good and the voice instructions are accurate and spot on.
Your right about the GPRS costs though, can be expensive if your on the wrong tariff. I'm on T-Mobile web&walk which means unlimited GPRS downloads a month so thats not an issue.
You also get speed cameras free but will only work when your on a planned route and the maps updated 4 times per year free. The traffic alert is cheaper than TTM5 for the years subscription.
You don't get 3D maps though.
Difficult choice as they are all very good programs. I do like the TTM5 as you don't need to plan a route to use the speed cameras, if you just switch it on it will follow your position and alert you, very nice idea as alot of the time I don't need to plan a route.

I have recently upgraded my Navicore Personal 2005 to the 2006/1 on my P910.
I used the previous version fairly extensively, and wrote a mini review about it on this forum last year.
I'm still getting to grips with the 2006 version. I've noticed the following differences...
1) They've compressed some of the voice files from .wav to .ogg to save space. The result of this is that during a voice direction the quality of the voice slightly changes. Purely cosmetic I know, but annoying all the same. Mostly this can be undone by copying back the equivalent .wav files from the previous release if you have space on your memory card.
2) Yup, they allow 7 digit UK postcodes. However, for me this has limited functionality, unless I'm having problems understanding how this will work (likely). After entering the postcode I still have to select a street name and house number. I was hoping I could just type in a house number, or even leave it blank to be navigated to the vicinity of the postcode. For me, near is good enough. I don't know how this works in TT5, but still feels a bit klunky here.
3) The traffic updates. Yup, they're working and free, in the UK at least. The result of doing an update seems to be to mark certain sections of road as having problems and giving you the option to dynamically route around it. I've not used it in anger, but the information that appears from the update seems informative and sensible, and easy to access from the various menus.
4) The 'safety cam' update. This seems good and fairly accurate too. You get an audible warning as you get near a cam, and some information on the screen to say what the limit is, if applicable.
They've not changed one thing that I found annoying in 2005, was the ability to walk through the planned route. You can do it, but you still appear to have to start from the origin. I'd have liked to have started from any point on the route, so find this unnecessarily restrictive.
So far, I'm fairly happy with 2006/1. I'll know a lot more once I've taken it on the family holiday again this year in a different part of the UK from last time
