Hi,
Just bought a Dell Axim x50v and am looking to get a GPS receiver to use in the car but also to use whillst out walking.

Would I be correct in thinking a CF receiver would be best for me? If so, any recommendations? Looking at the Globalsat BC 307 on Ebay but from a bit or research on the web, it seems that this is a few years old.

Thanks in advance for any help.

The CF type receivers tend to drain the power from your PDA, ok for short walks but I wouldn’t risk more than 3 hours. Consider using a Bluetooth receiver these can be charged independently before setting out. They last up to 15 hours and can be stored in your pocket or rucksack and you will still get good reception. When you’re back in the car they can be charged from the cigarette lighter or from a powered mount.

What's the best price you have seen on an Axim?
