TT5 HP5450 and PRETEC CompactGPS-LP

I am using an IPAQ 5450 with 2003 and TTN5 (tried 5.1 as well) with a PRETEC CompactGPS-LP receiver. The receiver is fine and works well with its own software. TTN keeps saying no GPS device - I have to set it up everytime I start and then the software will pick up the position data for a few secs/mins and then stops. TTN works but cannot reliably see the receiver.

Anyone else have this prob? or what receiver works reliably.

I had the Non LP version and it work for me on my 5550.

Does it see the com port in TTN5 (and 5.1)?

If so, then check the baud rating. It maybe worth lowering it.

Also check that you are using the other NMEA devices as well. TT seem to have dropped support for this, but it was a good reveiver (as long as you had an external aeriel and a good sized view of the sky).
