Recently purchased this BT338 and cannot installed the software onto the phone.
I receive an error when trying to install the .cab file.
Error received is this "GPS Information GPSinfo.cab failed to install on your device because the installation file is not intended for this device"
I have seen posts about rom updates and also .cab file unlocks or somekind but i really need some help.

The supplied utilities are for PC and or PocketPC only. Smartphone is a different platform (at least until WM2005 arrives).
The GPSInfo applet is a utility to indicate correct function of the GPS, it serves no other purpose and so you don't need it.
p.s. It's good practice to only post a query in a single forum, multiple posts across different topic areas are frowned upon.

Have you Bluetooth bonded it and what application do you wish to use it with?

ive connect to it now chap thanks. ive sussed it.
Just need to know how to install software now.
i have it on my SD Card. Any help with that? |

Well i thought when i'd insert the card it would self install.
I've mailed the chap whom i got it off. See what happens.
Have Great Britian Map and that. I can see it all there. |
