You can't using ActiveSync 4, TomTom won't work with ActiveSync 4. You need a card reader and copy the files to the card.

Do you have a version of TomTom which is compatible with Windows Mobile 5?

Not an area where my knowledge is of great use, but I'm sure a little more information would be of use for those whose knowledge is.

ie - Platform, source of upgrade etc.

You obviously want assistance, but I repeat:

hello

orange spv m2000 upgraded to windows mobile 5
activesync 4.0

I tried to install and I received an error message:

TomTom Setup Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

On my old windows pocket pc 2003 the tomtom worked fine.

I can install any other application to spv m2000 but not the tomtom 5.
Help me!

P.S. I asked at tomtom support but I didn't received any answer by now.

i am gonna be in the same boat come this week as far as trying to get tomtom 5 onto a windows mobile 2005 pda and was hopeing for some help. I dropped my pda unfortunately this past weekend and without knowing of this issue, ordered one over the weekend with the mobile 2005 on it. I was a little unsure about the process to manually do this as while i am pc proficient, i don't really know about pda file structure and stuff.. So, i have to manually make those folders mentioned onto the cf card(that's what i had it on with the other pda), and extract the files from those zipped files from the tomtom install cd into these folders? do i need to put anything onto the file structure for the pda rom/os itself? I noticed that even though i had installed everything onto the cf card, the pda's own file structure had two folders of its own, one on the root folder i think that had current map and voice and then one elsewhere with some files i didn't know what they were, maybe the info for the today screen shortcut. also, how would one then get the 5.10 upgrade onto it? when i extracted that, didn't see these cab files. i guess i was hoping for a more thourough for dummies breakdown on how to go about manually doing this. I would think something would have to be put onto the pda itself, especially to get that shortcut launch logo from the today screen. thanks for any help, sounds like there are quite a few older programs i am gonna have issues with now.
