GPS on a mobile phone

Is there such an animal as GPS on a mobile phone?,

I ask only because a lot of my trips lately have been train/tube nd shank's pony.

If there is which is best?

Am due to change my existing phone (Nokia 6230),

Ideally would like to get another Nokia, but I want satnav, both for streets etc, but also walking in hills. I currently use Navman ICN Satnav,but will consider other software.

Which hardware, and which software?
