POI File Size Limits

Does anybody know if there is a limit to the number of POI's you can have in an .ov2 file?

I have downloaded both the UK_Fuel POI's from PGPSW and merged the two, giving something like 4, 600 POI's in one file.

When I look through the POI category in TomTom, it doesn't look that long.

Is there a limit to how may entried you can have in any one file?

In theory the only limit is the memory on the SD card. However the more entries there are the longer it will take to search.

In the heady days of the Postcode POI, I had over 180,000 in one file!
