i have just bought this from maplin but im just wondering if anyone knows if u can turn of the routes to avoid motorways cause whatever route i take it seems to take motorways which im tryin to avoid. pls can someone help

There is a option under Settings->Navigation

i turned off the option to avoid highways which i guess here we call motorways but it still gives me a route to take motorways which i really want to avoid. can anyone help me pls

I think you should turn "on" the option to avoid highways !!
