C520T Blue Screen Of BIOS

I'm starting to have problems with my MIO c520t in that when I turn it on instead of the usual igo software, I'm presented with a blue screen with BIOS options on it. It has numerous items like format disk, and test GPS etc.

As the c520 only has one power button this button moves the on-screen selection to the next item and pressing and holding the button selects the item.

I can find no way of exiting this bios mode. Holding the power button down for ages has no effect. The touch screen is not recognised. I can't find a hardware reset button and can't get to the battery to remove.

Anyone (a) Seen this before (b) Know why the unit switches into this mode and most importantly (c) know how to get out of it?

Do you have memory card inserted on start up? If yes, what happens if you remove the card before turning on the device?
