Have you paired the GPS with your phone? Also, which settings have you chosen under GPS Configuration?

hello again,

thought i had sorted it out but still drops the connection after aroung 10 mins......says no gps device

i decided to get a new tomtom receiver from globalpostioning....to replace the one that was stolen and see if that cures the problem

because ttm5 for the 7710 only gave the option to use the tomtom receiver perhaps the program checks every 10 mins or so to see if the receiver is a genuine tomtom unit and drops the signal if it isnt a genuine tomtom receiver

In the 'connections' menu of your 7710 have you set the bluetooth receiver as authorised?

everything works perfectly now...........so a word of warning this version of ttm5 for the 7710 will not work with any other gps receiver except tomtoms own bluetooth receiver
