permanently powered bluetooth gps receiver

I use TTM on an SPV-C500, what i am looking for is a permanently powered & mounted bluetooth gps receiver, so i can just get in car, drop phone in holder and away i go.

I have heard of data loggers, is that what i need, or maybe buy another BT gps receiver with external antenna and mount that in the car permanently hidden away somewhere, then keep my TT receiver in my bag when i drive the truck.

Any advice or reccommendations.

This has not much to do with data loggers. It's more a question of how the on/off switch is done. You will need to get a receiver with a HARDWARE switch. Most of the newer receivers unfortunately come with these fancy push buttons, and are therefore not really suitable for in car installation.

So make sure to ask for the switch type before you buy.
