when it is flashing orange it is trying to get a fix, when it flashes once a second it has a 3d lock, when it flashes twice a second it only has a 2d lock.
Hope this helps

Assuming you've selected the right serial port in the TomTom GPS driver (on almost all Pocket PCs, it should be COM1:), the right sort of GPS and the box next to those two settings on the second tab of the GPS driver contains a tick (if not, tap on it) - are you running a keyboard driver on your Pocket PC. If so, disable the keyboard driver.
Other possible solutions include a faulty cable or GPS, the cables not connected together correctly (not firmly located?), damaged serial port on the Pocket PC, or you've mistakenly connected an iPAQ 3800/3900/5000 series cable to an iPAQ 1910 (which won't work as the 1910 has no serial port).
