Tom Tom 300

How do I pair a Tom Tom 300 with my new mobile (bluetooth enabled) phone - Sony K700i (pay as you go)? This phone is on the tomtom list as being compatible but I have tried everything and it will not pair up. I therefore tried my son's phone, which is also on the list, but is a contract phone and this will not pair up either. I have managed to reach the point where a message is received on the Tomtom screen "do you wish to make the wireless internet connection now". When I press to continue the mobiles then disconnect. I have contacted Vodafone, Sony and Tomtom but nobody seems able to help me.

Please please does anybody know the answer?

i have a k770i on pay as you go and mine works with tom tom go 300, this is what you need to do

1 have your bluetooth enabled on your phone
2 go to connect phone on th go menu
3 select you phone model, and country
4 then select, ie, orange wap [contract] if you choose pay as you go, it will dissconnect straight away, for some reason it only works if you select [wap contract] you still pay via phone credit tho, hope that helps,

oh forgot to mention the tomtom site has been down so it may not connect to the site as mine isn't connecting at the moment either,

Thanks for your help, but sadly still not working. Not sure whether there is something wrong with the tomtom unit as I have failed to successfully get it to operate with 3 different phones now.
