Hi all
How long should a pda last?

ie i am a truck driver and i use my ipaq rx3715 every day for about 10 hours at a time.
Now after 6 months i have found that the screen keeps on whiting out and then i need to fully reset it
is this just a the age of the pda or should it be lasting longer?

The age of a PDA is mainly defined by the battery life. Bateries can have from 500 to 1500 cycles. So it would be between one and four years.

The screen problem you describe is not normal. But maybe it's a software issue? It is always a good idea to hard reset the device every half year or so and re-install from scratch, getting rid of all the junk that has accumulated over time.

If that doesn't fix it, send the device in for warranty repair.
