Bluetooth receiver with PDA

Hi All

New to all this, so go easy

I have just purchased a T-Mobile MDA Compact and have had the TomTom V5 software installed. So far so good and all seems to be working ok..I decided on the compact rather than a 'proper' pda purely because i can use it as a phone and it is smaller than most PDA's on the market today...

I have now decided to buy a Globalsat 338 bluetooth receiver as i have read these are one of the best for the price. Still awaiting delivery (from the states)...Purchased for a very resonable £85.00 delivered!

I have one question though...Would i be right in assuming that the wired as oppsed to bluetooth connection would provide a more secure connection. I'm just thinking that with bluetooth, you have another issue to factor in when losing connections. Does anyone have this setup (or similar) with this receiver?

i have the same PDA model but its called the i-MATE jam, it does not support a physical serial connection, you must use Bluetooth.
