Problem brand new gpslim 236 (holux)

Hi

Well no sooner than i posted my new 236 is excellent unit than it stops working at all.

I had it just over 24hrs and it "was" working excellent and was very happy.
Today i unplug it from charge and get out to the car and go to switch it on... and nothing! no lights no life no anything?!? I take battery out and put it back minute later (no idea why tought may reset or something) but still nothing, tried it with charger cable in and out, no change?
Please anyone shed some light on this problem?

It now appears to sadly be an expensive lifeless plastic box, and just when i was dying to just spend the weekend driving for the sake of playing with all new sat-nav (boys and new toys!) i am a very upset customer. I had to drive 50miles each way to purchase it anyhow, as was being impatient wanting it "today" 8O So you can imagine how grumpy i am now, when i cant play new toy. And the retailers shut til monday (gpswarehouse)

But what worries me is i seen couple of posts with similar dead 236 when new, do i get a replacement or a refund to a different product? When i really wanted what i heard was a great device. Your thoughts and ideas be very welcome ?
