I use my ClipOn primarily when walking. When I upgraded to the V2 firmware, it became unusable because the location would "stick" until I had walked for perhaps 2 minutes before relocating. I reflashed back to V1 which I find OK for walking.

An item in GPSPassion
http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=25575
explains that the "stickiness" is a result of the "Static Navigation" (SN) parameter being enabled in the firmware. Looking at my V1 Fortuna, I find that SN is enabled but it doesn't seem to cause problems. Before I reflash my ClipOn to V2 and try disabling SN myself, has anyone tried it? If so, did it make any difference when walking - or when driving?

Regards

SN may not have worked properly in your V1 firmware.

Having said that it's a truly useless feature and should be disabled at all times. Use SiRFDemo on a PC to switch it off. (Don't forget to put the receiver back into NMEA mode afterwards)
