I just purchased a Magellan Explorist 400. I can't quite figure out how, If possible to get my saved route downloaded into the software on my PC so that I can view, print, etc. Is this possible?
I have the Magellan Conversion Manager and the GeoCache Manager loaded on my PC.

I don't know if this will be helpful or not.

I've got a Meridian Color with Mapsend Topo USA that I use for everything. I'd also like to be able to print my route directly but can't find a way. As a 'work-around', after saving my Track and Waypoints to file I display the map with the route showing and hit the Print Screen button. Then I paste the 'picture' into a Word document (landscape with reduced margins) and print that. By recalling the file I can display and print it any time I need to.

Not the ideal solution but it may be a good temporary way until we find something better, and if you do find a better way please let us know.

I probably should have read your post twice before I jumped in. Your system may be very different but to get my route downloaded to begin with I hook the GPS to the computer with a USB cable, find TRACKS in the header and select DOWNLOAD FROM GPS. Then I save it to file under an appropriate name.

If this doesn't apply to your system just disregard my ramblings. If I can provide more detail let me know (I only check this forum periodically).

Al,
Would this be a route that you created or a "canned" route from TopoUSA?
I'd like to print the routes that I set up.
The printscreen idea would be an option for now.

Cure4Glass-

These are routes I've actually traveled. I'm downloading and saving the track that results from that. I'm not familiar with creating routes.
