there is supposed to be a piece of software that can allow multiple conections, most mobile phones are designed for one item at a time.

also if you do get all three working together, so audio quality will be reduced

Have you just gone ahead and tried it? I was told my Nokia 9500 'wouldn't support concurrent bluetooth connections' by Nokia and TomTom but actually it works just fine to listen to the voice instructions from Mobile 5 over the bluetooth headset without any tweaks at all.

Jumping With Joy
Thanks for the answer Foxhunter. I have done as you said and it's absolutely perfect now thank you very much. I wish I had thought of it before posting but I am still a bit scared of breaking my phone.

My friend has just bought a Nokia 6680 and a Nokia HS 4W bluetooth headset. He is able to connect to TT Mobile 5 via an original TT bluetooth GPS (old type) and use his headset to send and receive calls. When the headset is active TomTom travel instructions are routed via the headset.

Despite the common belief that Nokia phones running TTM5 will not work concurrently with other bluetooth devices, it appears that certain combinations of nokia phones and bluetooth headsets will work.

Just wonder whether Nokia have addressed this issue with their latest models or is just good fortune that certain combinations work.? If so, it may be worth maintaining a list of compatible Nokia phones and brand of bluetooth headsets that enable concurrent connections.

I take back what I said about it being perfect. Just been on a long run today and the tt5 through the headset was quiter than the original phone audio. I had it set to the loudest on the headset HS-11W. Using it just for the phone is perfect but not both together unfortunately.
I am seriously thinking about a full hard wired car kit.

There is a sequence in which to connect the devices to get 2 bluetooth connections to work,

On my 9500,

Start TomTom and start the GPS, allow them to connect,

Turn on the CarKit/headset,

Sound quality is an issue, but it's ok just for voice instructions,

Carl,

Hi,
I have now started to use my system with a Visorcom bluetooth, I had it in the house and never used it (don't ask me why) anyway, I thought about it for a while then did as suggested previously, turned on the tt5 and gps let them connect, then connected the visorcom and hey presto!!!! sound is a lot better than my headset (Nokia HS-11W). I think I will probably sell the headset as I have only used it maybe three times at the most.
Thanks to all that commented. Hopefully I should be sorted. Hope this has helped others with the quiet tt5.
regards
