 Hi. How can i put a picture of my little girl on my Tom Tom Go 500 as the splash screen. Im not very good with computers, and i'm new to all this. So please be patient. Many thanks PAUL. |

It's not really worth doing as you lose so much detail in the jpeg compression. It can be done but the results can be disappointing.

IS it possible to have a spalsh screen on the Classic ?
Can't seem to see the splash.bmp ?

Yes. It works just the same. If you can't see the .bmp in the Root of the SD card, it probably means that it's not installed. Some versions didn't install by default but a menu option was included in the Upgrade installation.

I've added splash.bmp (after following instruction from the above link), but it does not display the picture at all.
TomTom Go version 5.201.
I can't see any menu option to activate it /
PS where do I get 5.202 ?

It does work on 5.201 but if you want 5.202 you need to go here, but read carefully.
Have you got a size of 320 x 240 pixels, landscape, for your splash screen? If so then turn it 90 degrees clockwise, portrait, with the picture sideways.
