Mio 168 and Navigon 5 slows to a crawl?

Hi

This my first venture into GPS and am having fun with my new Mio. The directions ..when it is programmed in is excellent.. however i am trying to set up known places i visit in advance, so i can call them up instantly..

Problem is after setting up one or two and saving them as destinations.. the PDA goes into a very slow mode taking up to a minute or two to get to the next screen for input,, street name for instance. I have had to reset the PDA a few times to clear it, then start another session of input (well I have only done 4!)

anything I'm doing wrong?

PS I did set memeorybalance in favour of program and am using high speed setting for processor.

Found the reason myself.... :D

programs not releasing memory properly.. do this through:

Start/Settings/System/Memory/Running Programs.. select stop or stop all

We see you’re using an ad-blocker. We’re fine with that and won’t stop you visiting the site.
