Working fine a couple of days ago, just tried to turn it on prior to departing for France at 0330, - nothing happens! No power light on with either computer feed or car adapter.... any ideas??

Green power light should come on if you have power.

Sometimes it can discharge when you think it's switched off, especially if you let it switch off with the ignition.

What colour fuse is in the charger lead? If it's purple, try and check the output voltage - this is the early model and sometimes fails and gives a fatal 12v to the Go instead of 5v.

If you have a white /clear fuse, just check the fuse. These chargers seem to be OK. But again see if you have any voltage at all at the output.

The charger is the only source of power. There is no power supplied to the GO via the USB computer lead.

Check output of car adaptor - if it's 12v then you have fried your GO.

If 5v, then perhaps on/off switch has jammed. Try removing the fascia and re-fitting. My GO classic did this once and has been fine since. In fact, check that out first - it's an easy fix.

Otherwise, sounds terminal....

thanks guys, will try those ideas - power should be correct voltage as it's the TomTom original charger and worked fine previously.

OK. seems like it is a poor connection in the adaptor, the green light on that is intermittent but it does produce 5V when ITs light is on, and then we are back in business so it looks like it was a flat internal battery.
Thanks for the advice, saved me a lot of cursing and getting lost tomorrow!!
Regards
Steve
