Tom Tom 5.1 Maps

Where can I get a map for TomTom 5.1 for the dell Axim x50v. The Map I have when I try to use it works on 5.0 but not 5.1. Do I go back to tomtom and download the map there or what? Thanks in advance.

The map that works with 5.0 should work with 5.1 - both are the software versions for the current map.

Can I just go to TomToms Site and download it?

You won't be able to download a map from TomTom. They only do software version downloads, like the 5.1 that you already have.

I saw on there site that they had a place to download the map for a price. Can I just pay for it and download it there or do I have to use the one from the c.d. Because when I install the one from the c.d. it works ok then when I install the upgrade the software says no map found. Am I doing something wrong or is there something else I need to do in order to get it work on my axim x50v.

Also my maps are on a cf card.

If you do a search in the Navigator Forum, there has been a lot of postings on V5.1 and quite a few on Maps not Found.

If you have 2005 maps there should be no problem. They come on CD incidentally.
