How to delete 'Detour'?

If I ask the quest to work out a detour for the next 'X' miles, it will then calculate the new route. If I don't want that route and I want to go back to the original route, how do I do it?

Recalculate doesn't work, it retains the avoid 'X' miles function.

Don't recalculate, but find the destination again and calculate again.
