I have been a tom tom navigator 5 owner for around three months. Last week I activated the free one month trial on Traffic. I was not expecting too much after reading some of the comments, but I have to say that I love the product, (so far).
In just one week it has helped me avoid 5 potential jams. I drive around 40, 000 miles a week and do a lot around the main motorways in the South East, so I may be lucky in getting good support for the roads, but I honestly feel for less than a pound a week, it is a "no brainer".

That means a speed of 238 mph for 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Must be Superman. Laughing

I meant 40,000 miles a year, although I do have a big "S" on my vest and get changed in a phone box.

Glad someone's happy....

Last time I used it - TT said the roads were clear so I ignored the overhead gantry signs on the M25 and followed TT5 to go north up the M1. At which point I ended up in a traffic jam due to an accident for 45 mins. All the while a green blob, plenty of updates......nothing. Road supposed to be free. There is a lesson to be learnt there....!

You'd think the amount they charge for this service they could at least make it reliable.

I don't mind paying for something as long as it does what it's supposed to do.

I've been using it since Xmas and it was bad to begin with and then got quite good, was just as acurate as Trafficmaster, but since we've done to TT5 it's been dire !! It hasn't even changed in the past week still reporting the same problems even at 1am in the morning.

Took the family to Alton Towers today - Accident on the way there, Accident on the way back.

Both showing on the Overhead boards - But not on TT Traffic.

:x Surley if it can be put on the Motorway boards TT traffic should know about it?

At least the "Roadblock" feature worked OK Smile
