HELP NEW SETUP PROBLEMS

I HAVE AN IPAQ 3115-HOLUX 231-TOMTOM-5.
ANYHOW WHEN I START THE SYSTEM UP OUTSIDE MY HOUSE IT REGISTERS 7-8 SATS QUICKLY I SET A ROUTE, BUT WHEN I DRIVE OFF IT DOESN'T TRACK UNTIL PERHAPS ABOUT 200-300 YARDS UP THE ROAD AND IT SEEMS TO STAY THAT FAR BEHIND AS I DRIVE ALONG.
I AM ASSUMING IT IS THE GPS? AS EVERYTHING WORKED WHEN I FIRST HOOKED UP THE NEW PDA TO A RIKALINE 6010.
IF ANYBODY COULD POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION- I WOULD BE GRATEFUL. :D

- slow redrawing/position lag when user created POIs are visible. TTN5 will show the position you were in several seconds ago - hide custom POIs and it shows you where you are now. Workaround: Combine custom POI categories into fewer files and use MakeOV2.exe to compile.

Taken from the bug report in the Navigator forum. Have a nose around to see if there is any further info. I had this problem and it disappeared when I installed Checkpoint to handle the poi's.
