Problems with the Fortuna dual power cable.

I've got the older Fortuna clip on.
It comes with a dual charger cable that means I can charge my PDA as well.
(You need to have the right adapter for the PDA.)
This is really convenient.
Only one problem though: it doesn't charge both the PDA and GPS receiver at the same time when both are connected.
For me... this defeats the purpose of having the dual charger.

Is it supposed to be like this?

hmmm... i thought i was going mad.
when i first got the thing... i was ure i could charge both at the same time!
but then it stopped working...
and i can only charge one at a time.
