Intermittent startup TTN 5

Ello..

Just upgraded my TTN3 to TTN5....

When I touch the Navigator icon the program always freezes, with the small icon showing at the bottom right, soft reset needed.

But.. if I load up another program, for example Memory Map, which is located on the same Kingston 1GB SD card, exit, then execute Tom Tom, it loads up fine..! Just plain weird.

Can anyone suggest any workaround for this problem..?

Hi

When you exit M/Map be sure to exit via MENU EXIT which is in the bottom left of M/Map screen, otherwise M/Map will still be running in the back ground making TTom run like SH**.

I am sure that this will solve your problem. :D

Thanks berghaus for yout suggestions.... but I assure you I always exited Memory Map correctly....

The Only way I managed to get TTN5 to statup up 100% of the time was to format the SD with an external application...

Pocket Mechanic gives you a plethora of formatting options... I formatted the card with a FAT16 4K cluster option.

Tom Tom loads & restarts 100% now....
