I doubt it - if it was that good it wouldn't have to appear to be from "Holux" with a misleadingly similar name of "Holox" and model number of BT-231. Also, how you are going to get signal from satelites positioned over the other side of the earth? I'm not quite sure, but if you do, then that's very impressive.
The blurb on that eBay advert mentions that the BT74 is indoor capable, and it's not a BT74, it's a BT-321 - probably a standard BT GPS receiver, no more, no less.
I received one today. As I never had the sirf lll type, nor have the knowledge how to conduct a meaningful test I cannot answer my own question. However I can compare this (Holox) to the Nemerix Chipset BT-77 based receiver mentioned in previous posts. With both receivers indoors side by side the Holox sees 2 to 3 more satalites and has taller bars on the Tomtom GPS config screen, under the indoors stairway, in a cupboard, tucked in a shoe-('') the Holox can get a fix whereas the other fails to give GPS data.
