Is it possible to customise the colours in TomTom Go as was possible with TTN5?
I cannot find any colour schemes files and unable to access the root directory in TT Go via USB

Help please?

Best regards David

Coincidentally I answered this very question for the next issue of PDA Essentials.

TomTom Navigator 5 (inc GO) is rather different to TomTom Navigator3. The default map colours are now embedded in the program code rather than being stored in separate .clr files. However, the good news is that you can still use .clr files with Version 5.

If you haven't got a folder named 'schemes' on your PDA or GO create this folder on your SD card. Put the colour map file (.clr) in this schemes folder.

To select your own colour map go to the daytime or night colour option menu. Select the colour scheme that has the no name (a square with a colour pattern) - you will then be presented with a second menu screen with your own colour map name(s).

The problem with that is that the CSE software cannot *create* a new clr file, it needs one to open first to modify. Users of V5 dont have an original clr file to import into CSE to create their customised version *from*!

Why not download one of the Styles available on the site and edit that?

Can you post either a pic of what your screen now looks like or a link to the file so I can try it myself ?

I am ready for some different colours.

Boxbrownie has kindly sent me the High Contrast colour file he created. I've zipped it and uploaded to our downloads library.

Thanks a lot.

Installed it and must say it is by far the best colour scheme I have seen.
