Hi All,
I've recently got a FS Loox 720 PDA which has Bluetooth on it. I'm planning on using it as a GPS system (probably with TomTom).
I have several questions:
1) Can more than 1 bluetooth device be paired with my PDA at the same time? (eg. headset and GPS receiver)
2) What are advantages/pitfalls of using bluetooth GPS versus wired GPS versus plug in GPS units such as those that fit in the CF slot?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide me! I'm a newbie to all this malarky!
Cheers,
Dylan |

Yes to Q1 although if using tomtom it turns the bt on for use and then off when the application has been exited
as for Q2 there are various receivers on the market that would suit your device it will all depend on how much you are willing to pay eg:if you want the latest chipset in the receiver or just a pretty standard one although it also depends on which on is compatible with tomtom and your device |

I use both bt and wired, but I far prefer the wired unit it is just easier to connect each morning, also cheaper as you get the power cable for the pda as well as gps unit thrown in - the bt unit needs charging, if you forget and it runs out you need to power it so even more cables - the fuzion gps wired i got off e-bay for around 30 quid great bit of kit, very small and comes with power addapter, down side is you must be in the car to power it whereas bt unit you can walk with, hence why i have both types, for car wired, for walking/ hiking bt unit - cheers mike |
