Garmin and 3D mapping

Before you all ask here is a bit of info i obtained from Garmin regarding the SP111 and the 2610 etc...The question i asked them was....."Is it possible to upgrade the firmwear in the (as stated above) to 3D mapping as they have got on the SP 2720"....here was there reply and quote........................................,

Thank you for contacting Garmin Europe.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to offer 3-D mapping for older units via a
software upgrade. The technology for 3-D mapping is down to the hardware of the mapping I am afraid. This means that it will not be possible to update existing models.
