Holux gps slim 236 leaving it permanently on

I am running the holux 236 in the rear of my car permanently switched on and connected to a 12volt accesory point which is live all the time.
Will this do any harm to the reciever or battery? I am aware you can remove the battery but as i need the reciever to be portable when I change viehicles now and again it makes more sense to leave the battery in. The reciever seems to stop charging when the battery is full so Im not sure if it will do any harm or not. Would be interested to know if anyone is using the reciever in this way.

Hi,
You'll have no problems with having the GR236 permanently powered. Mine is pretty much always on charge in the car, with the odd occasion it is used whilst walking.
