You need a good uninterrupted sky view and should allow anywhere from 5 - 30 mins for the first out of the box fix.

You need to be outside for this.

It needs to search every time it starts but only the very first fix takes so long, in normal use it should aquire a fix within a minute or so and often less.

Don't forget that a GPS receiver needs to see the sky so won't work or will work very poorly indoors!

Soft reset the unit (insert the stylus tip into the 'reset' hole). Then configure PrymeNav for COM2 and 4800bps rather than allowing it to seek the settings automatically.

Now you know why they call this 'bleeding edge technology'. It's your head that's the bleeding edge and the technology that's the cause ;)

I suggest you start a NEW TOPIC with the title "Help rqd with H2215 setting up GPS". That way folk with H2215 knowledge will respond

This is a MIO 168 thread and H2215 users may not open it and see your needs.

Please do not respond to this post. Keep the thread ON the Mio topic.
Thanks
