Sorry to ask a really daft question, tried applying the patch and I seem to get a lock up.
I have a CF gps and really only want to update that driver as it takes ages to lock and then is flakey.
Is there a way to just update this?
I notice that it asks to reinstall/update several things when you run the patch, today, and a couple of others, I wonder if I could choose just the one needed then I would not need to reinstall whole thing, alternatively install patch copy the updated drivers and then reinstall original version and copy back the updated drivers.
I hope this all makes sense?
Thanks

Had the same problem with lock ups. Took four attempts before it installed properly.
So TomTom can't even get the damn patch right, what a bunch of jokers |

In my zip file there is the setup.exe, a setup.apk and a tomotm update.cid file. How do I extract the cab files from these? |

Download the zip version of the update, not the .exe version.
Unzip it/extract the files.
Open up the file called nvapp and then the file called app. They're in there if I'm correct.

What is the driver called and where can I find it?
I can then install the update copy the driver, reinstall the version 5 and copy the driver back.
Thanks

ok
1.download the zip file
2.copy it to a folder or create one
3.unzip using winzip or something
4.run the setup.exe
5. cancell the tomtom setup & now you will see some more files in your folder
6. open "nvapp" folder
7.open "app" folder
8.copy all 4 cab files ie highlight all 4 files and right click and copy
now on pc open on your pc... in my case
1.my computer
2.mobile device
3.my windows mobile based device
4.windows
5.start menu
6.programs
7.paste all cab files here ie right click and paste
now on your ppc
1.start
2.programs
3.find the cab files and run them
now you should be updated :D
i have done it like this incase someone doesn't know everything and to make it easy ....well i hope anyway _________________ TomTom 5001 |
