Hi PocketGPS

I'm sorry to read that Niels Thomsen has had to withdraw his postcode program from the website and my apologies for forgetting to contribute something towards hiscosts - can I still do that? Ukpostcodes worked extremely well with TomTom navigator 3 - now that I have upgraded to TomTom Navigator 5, will the program work with this upgrade. The postcode program in the upgrade is about as useful as a catflap on a submarine!

In addition, map errors in TomTom3 still exist in TomTom5

Regards

Biged

The fact that the errors in the TT3 maps still exist in TT5 is, let’s say… more or less normal (even the errors I’ve detected in TT3 and informed TT and Teleatlas about, still exist!). What surprises me is that TT5 maps now have errors that didn’t exist in TT3!!!! – In a months time I have found 3 already in the Portuguese maps! Here are just three examples of what is wrong on TT5 and were ok on TT3:

- When you are travelling the A1 motorway direction north -> south, all of a sudden you will be “pushed” off the road about 200-500 meters north of Aveiro for a few Kilometers

- In Leiria there is at least one road that TT refuses to use! If you want to go from the Hospital roundabout to a roundabout on the N113 which is only a few hundred meters away, TT refuses to take the quickest and shortest rout which is a direct road. TT tells you to drive an additional 1,2 Km to get to the same place – the strange thing is even if you are on the direct road and only 100 away from the roundabout at N113 TT still tells you to turn back and take the longer rout!

- In Leiria, if you’re coming from the motorway to the Hospital roundabout and want to go to the centre of town, TT5 will tell you to turn right a few hundred meters before the roundabout which is not possible because you are on a bridge.

I’m one of the users extremely unhappy with TT5 – as someone said in this forum “it’s a sub-standard program” and not even a can of Raid will get rid of all the bugs!
From what I’ve seen in this forum and others, there are many, many unsatisfied customers with TT5, is there anything we can do to get the problem fixed? I’m not only referring to the TT5 application it self but also to the maps which have a great deal of “impurities”/errors.
