I have been told that if you use a internet unlock code for the 6630 three times it will lock to the network forever is this true? |

hi mate,
the nokia 6630 currently can not be unlocked via code or or cable there is no current solution. so don`t go paying anyone for codes
so if anyone says they can do it they obviously don`t know what they are doing
regarding the entering the unlock code wrong so many times isn`t fully true
most nokia can be unlocked using a code , you normally get between 3 to 5 tries, if all attempts fail it only locks out the option of unlocking via code, and would have to revert to using a professional unlocking solution.
BUT believe me the 6630 can not at this current time be done _________________ iPhone 3Gs 32GB

Hi, you can actually unlock 6630 and 6680 by getting unlock code form your provider. I have 6680 with Voda, and paid £20 for my unlock code from them. But unfortunately 3 are not so easy to get a code from. There are lots of confusing reports on allaboutsymbian.com some saying you have to pay £120 to 3 if you are within your 12 month contract and £20 if outside of this. I was also told by 3 that CPW unlock there phones. Unfortunately CPW deny this!!!!!!
Hope this helps |

it's a pain trying to get your phone unlocked by your network
If you're within contract they normally charge you your line rental for the remainder of your contract upfront - plus an 'admin' charge!
Outside of contract it's just the 'admin' charge 0 but I guess there aren;t going to be many people with a 6680 who aren't under contract!
