Hi, i have got TomTom navigator 5 for my pocket pc.
I have the Great Britain maps but for some reason it says no maps found.
Do i have to go on "download a map" and connect on the internet in order for my maps to work?
Please help!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

| by the way, i have not yet bought a GPS device. I want to make sure it works before i buy a GPS device. |

no you don't need any other download it should work out the box
install maps on a sd or cf card then instal software on ppc
once you start tt it should ask you what map you want to use just highlight it and ok it
but it seems maybe something is wrong & i'm sure some1 here has had that problem or can help you

| When you buy the product it comes with a code that you use to unlock the maps through the TT website. |

| Presuming you've activated it and therefore unlocked you maps, have you tried a soft reset? Worked for me. |

| One has to ask how you get TT5 and maps without a GPS as it is not available as software only? |

OK - but officially it isn't available so they must be splitting software from hardware and selling seperatly. My quesiton now is why buy software at that price you can't use becasue you have no GPS?
It would be helpful if the original poster explained what they had and how they had activated their product. If they bought it without a product code then they should go back to the retailer. |
