I wish i knew the Quest 2 was coming before buying mine so soon!!

oh well, I'm pretty happy with mine at this point in time, just a little disappointed, i'm sure the price of the original quest will drop now that the new one is out!!!

I think otherwise. This is a Quest without any PC applications, just preloaded with maps. Lots of maps. But no planning of routes on the PC, AFAIK. A TomTom or 2620 version of the Quest.

From what I can see, the spec is much the same as the current UK spec.... 256mb etc etc

Hi

The spec also reads customizable points of interest? wonder if this means on route announcement of points of interest? as that would be very handy me thinks. Otherwise it looks pretty similar, i for one love the PC apps you get with the quest so wouldnt have gone for it over the quest anyway, v happy with my unit.

Cheers

Knoxie

I don't own a Quest or a Quest2, so I just want to confirm. With the original Quest (not Quest2) you canplan routes on the PC and upload them to the unit?

Thanks

Yes. You can plan you route, upload/download routes, waypoints and tracks on the Quest using Mapsource.

Thanks Skippy, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't ASSuming too much.

I read through the manual online, but the Quest manual is now the same as the Quest2 manual and it doesn't seem to have any info about uploading routes or not.

Thanks for the confirmation. If the Quest2 can't upload/download routes, I may pick up a Quest, even with the limited 115MB space for us USA-ers.
