As a new tomtom 5 owner, I'm a little annoyed to learn that it is now shipping with maps of western europe, instead of just uk maps which is what I got.
How can I get the maps of western europe - and will I have to pay, even if I bought my copy about a month ago?! |

Yes, what you purchased was the Great Britain map, and that is what you got
The maps of Western Europe which are already in circulation were part of a special upgrade offer for existing owners of TomTom3 (some of whom, like me, had already bought Western Europe maps for TT3)
You will be able to buy Western Europe maps for your installation in a couple of weeks time

yes but they appear to now ONLY be selling tomtom5 with maps of western europe - they have stopped selling great britain maps - I'm not talkign about the upgrade - which was always europe maps.
this means that the loyal customers, who buy early get penalised and have to cough up! |

Were are you seeing that I've had a quick look and it appears to be just the GB map as it was when I bought mine about a month ago. |
