Hi,
i'm hoping someone might be able to assist me. I have TT5 which I have just purchased as an upgrade, I am also a registered user of TT4.4 USA & Canada.
I want to be able to setup my Ipaq so I can use either maps IF POSSIBLE.
At the moment the only way seems to be to install TT5 for UK and when I go to Canada delete TT5 and Install TT4.4, then when back in the UK reverse it, obviously this is a bit of a pain.
Is there any way of editing the map data to allow one piece of software to use both maps.

It needn't be a pain if you have Sprite backup. On the storage card which has your TT5 maps, create a self restoring backup file of your PDA with TT5 installed. Do a hard reset and install TT4.4, then make a self restoring backup of that set up on the card which contains your USA and Canada maps.
Then whenever you want the other system, do a hard reset, put in the appropriate card and restore the program you want. Total time to change from one to the other is about 2 minutes, and you don't need access to a PC.
Strictly there is no need for a hard reset, but I find that if I don't do so, I use up more memory. Presumably, when installing one version over the other, not all files are deleted

Interesting idea. I have TTN5 Upgrade but not yet installed it but I could always do what you have just illustrated on your post and swap back to TTN3 if and when desired as I understand from other posts that as long as TTN3 is reinstalled back onto the original PDA then there is no activation problem. You are right about Sprite - excellent piece of S/W.

Install a USA map, then edit the .pna file in the map directory and change the value in the third line to 562. This has allowed people to use TT3 maps in TT5 so might work for you.
