The "workaround" I use as an Agenda Fusion user is to put a shortcut to the basic MS contacts program (addresses.exe in the Windows folder) on the desktop of Spb Pocket Plus (or equivalent) to fire up the original Contacts. The shortcut also needs to be in the "windows\start menu\programs" folder first.

When you then hold the stylus on any name in the list it offers you the "Navigate to" option.

But beware, the addresses in Contacts have to conform to a very strict format, so it's no good if a house is called "Roseneath" rather than "21 The Avenue"

Geoff.

Oooooh....I heard that one WHOOOOSH over my head then.....I'd best re-read that when I'm at home with a bit of time.....and not whilst at work, trying to look like I'm busy!

I have been unable to get this to work, my Ipaq 3970 runs Pocket PC 2002.
Here is the reply from TomTom support which may explain the problems some of us have had.

"Thank you for your e-mail.

Navigation via Contacts with TomTom Navigator 5 only works with Microsoft Mobile 2003.

Hello,
I have the same problem with my Casio Cassiopeia e200i.
In my case the answer from the support team was: your PPC is not supported.
In my opinion many platform with PPC2002 run with TTN5: more,my system runs very well the only missing function is Navigate to.
I had a look to the program TomTom Contact Navigator and what I can see there (just reading the code with notepad) is that my device is missing from the list and may be the same problem is for yours.
Have also tryed to force the name in the table but this is a difficoult task and the pgm doesn't start anymore. May be a person better skilled could help.
I continue to hope that sooner or later, somebody in TomTom will fix this stupid story...

Well, FWIW, I just shot TT a snarky message asking them to joing the 21st century by breaking down and adding this simple functionality to TT Navigator. If enough of us whine loudly enough about this, who knows, they may actually listen and act. Maybe. Rolling Eyes
