Capital letters?!!!

Hi. This might be a really obvious thing but it is still evading me. Basically I want to change to upper case letters when entering the name of a favourite but I just cannot work out how to do it! The usual options aren't there (i'm using a 7610) and nothing seems to let me put in a captial letter! Am I mad, is this a problem on my version or is it just a design bug?

It's not a bug, it's a feature. The first letter of each word is capitalized ("propercase" is the technical term). If you need all caps separate letters by spaces.

I have same problem and proper case works for the first key press i.e a on the 1abc key but as you cycle through to get to say b or c, capital letter changes to small. I use ttm5 on spv c500.

not adding anything new, but just to add weight to the argument - it's a bug, there's no other word for it. Well there is, but to keep it sweet, it's about one of the worst programming blunders I've seen in a normally very good product - whoever tested it before release wants shooting (if it was tested!)

I don't see why they won't let you pick upper and lowercase as and when needed like every other application. An option to use predictive text would be nice as well.

That's the thing, half my favourites have a capital first (because the first letter was only one keypress) and the others don't. Also, like some people have said, putting in a space doesn't make the next letter capital. Are we decided that this is just an annoying bug then? Rolling Eyes

When you are creating a new custom POI category it appears to work as it is supposed to, i.e. the first letter is capitalised as are any letters after spaces. So the code appears to be there, it just wasn't enabled in the other input screens.
