I was so impressed with the Garmin Quest and would recommend to anyone with a bike, car and even a boat come to think of it.

I found that PDA’S are a must not go area when it comes to bikes. The last thing you want is a PDA under the wheel when getting that knee down :o(

The best thing about the quest and why I would recommend it is its size and weight for bike use. The Garmin Quest Motorcycle Cradle and Bare Wire Cable kit is ideal for all bikes. You simple can design your own bracket to attach it to your preferred mounting point, as many bikes have not got room on the Handlebars. I myself purchased suction mount gooseneck
Which attaches to the cradle and I can either put the quest on the tank or inside my fairing and its tested at 150MPH with no chance of it flying off.

Also a good point about the Garmin quest is that it does take Pocket GPS speed camera database, I have this working myself and its as accrete as my Snooper S4 which is just about the best plug and play speed camera detector for bike and car you can get. But for real protection you also need a jammer as the sneaky vans are now becoming too common.

The quest is quite handy when you go abroad. The Mrs and me went to Spain last year and tuck out a hire car and believe me, we did not argue once about directions ;o) The PIO on the Garmin range is second to none. It as more date than any other unit.

The only real let down with the quest is post code but to be honest, who uses postcode unless its business related? But im also told Garmin are going fully postcode ion October and updates will be available.

If you have a bike, and a car and ant to save some money I would say there’s know other choice…
