Hi!

A friend of mine has bought a TTG 300 and when we try to run the installation CD in order to remove the different voices (other than English) the CD will not run and pops up a window saying "Not enough space on temporary folder. Cannot run setup". If I put my TTG Classic cd in it runs fine but alas will not allow me to sort out the TTG 300. Has anyone seen this before or can anyone suggest a work around? I have cleared all temp files on my PC that I can find.

Cheers!

Yes, many people have had this problem and it has been talked about in this forum, and also the solution is on the TomTom website. Embarassed

If you can't you cant find it ,look here, it took 10 secs to do a search under "not enough space" http://www.tomtom.com/support/rightnow.php?p_prods=&p_pv=&p_search_type=answers.search_fnl&p_new_search=1&p_prod_lvl1=%7Eany%7E&p_search_type=&p_search_text=not+enough+space

Connect to your PC with USB
Open as a removable drive via My Computer
Drag the voice files to the trash/recycle bin

Voice files come in pairs. If you want to keep the male and female english voices keep:

engm.vif
engf.vif

and the corresponding:

data04.chk
data05.chk

All other similar files can be deleted BUT NOT the unnumbered data.chk itself. If you open the ****.vif file as a text file it will tell you the name of the voice and the corresponding data**.chk file.
